Drs. Mark and Carol Solomon currently maintain a private group practice (Therapyworks) in Libertyville, Illinois.

Mark Solomon, Psy.D. received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. He completed his internship at the Children's Village in Dobbs Ferry, New York.

Mark is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked in schools, hospitals, outpatient (clinic and office) and residential placement. As a result, he is familiar with virtually all types of problems experienced by children, teens and adults.

Mark is on staff at Vista Health (Saint Therese and Victory hospitals) and is the director of Behavioral Health for the Lake County Physician's Organization. He is a member of the American Psychological Association.

Some or Mark’s special areas of interest are: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; academic underachievement; mood/anxiety disorders; anger management; physical and sexual abuse prevention and treatment; and psychological aspects of early/late pubertal development.

Carol Solomon, Ph.D., MCC received her doctoral degree in psychology from North Carolina State University.  She completed a clinical internship at The Children's Village in Dobbs Ferry, New York. 

Carol is a licensed clinical psychologist who now specializes in personal coaching. 

Carol trained as a coach with Mentorcoach and the Coaches Training Institute. She is a Master Certified Coach. She is on the faculty of Mentorcoach and was selected as a facilitator in the Authentic Happiness Coaching program with Dr. Martin Seligman.

Some of Carol’s interests are: Positive Psychology and using the accelerated techniques in coaching to help clients complete projects, design life changes, make transitions, and accelerate business and personal success. 

Carol specializes in using personal coaching to help people lose weight without dieting and eliminate food and weight issues. She is the author of Lose Weight Now . . . Stay Slim Forever, a practical, "how-to" manual for losing weight without dieting.
